We also had a blast just vacationing in the home for four days. The rooms look exactly like they do in the photos. The only issue we ever had was that one of the refrigerators wasn't working when we arrived. It was fixed within a few hours, though. I wish I could go back and relive our stay again and again!”
I want to be fair but accurate in my review. (1) The pictures online show the house to in pristine condition, but there are a places in need of repair such as some of the outdoor woodwork and several floor tiles. (2) There’s no mention of the 30 floor condo right next door. This became a problem, even though there are a few small signs posting “private beach” families came across and set up their things and took up the entire beach in front of our house. To solve this problem we got up at 7 am to set up our chairs but were still surrounded by people.
There were a few maintenance issues. The refrigerator worked Sunday – Tuesday. Wednesday morning we woke up to an overheated refrigerator and spoiled food. It took two days to get the part and get it cooling again. (They did reimburse for the food loss). The kitchen also has ants. The rental company did try to take care of the refrigerator and the ants but neither issue is a quick fix. One cannot predict when appliances will act up but ants might be a cleaning issue that needs to be addressed. The kitchen pots and pans are not sufficient for a home described as a gourmet kitchen and a house that sleeps 30 people.
The promised views of “awe-inspiring sunrises and magnificent sunsets” were correctly stated and everything we had hoped they would be. Several mornings we watched the dolphins play in the waves. The mornings and evenings spent on the deck will be fondly remembered by us all.
When we arrived home I noticed I had left my make up mirror. I called Holly, she checked with the cleaning staff and they had found it. She took it to the local shipping store. I paid the shipping, but this was very kind.
Overall our family vacation was filled with fun, laughter and precious memories of being together”
